This year, Kerala State Chalachithra Academy had organized a special screening of the remastered edition of ‘Olavum Theeravum’ at Thunchan Memorial Trust & Research Center, Tirur. During the event, the versatile actor of Malayalam cinema, Madhu reminisced about his enduring friendship and connection with the legendary screenwriter M.T Vasudevan Nair. The photo exhibition conducted by the Chalachithra academy at Tagore as a part of IFFK serves as a visual salute of this profound relationship.

The exhibition illuminates the lives of two cinematic legends-M.T Vasudevan Nair and Madhavan Nair, widely known as Madhu. $\"\"$

While delivering the inaugural address, lyricist and writer Sreekumaran Thampi shared his insights into the lives of MT and Madhu. Having collaborated on 11 films with Madhu, Thampi recalled him as someone who defied the prevailing stereotypes in Malayalam cinema. Madhu, eschewing a penchant for stardom and exaggeration, notably took on the negative lead role in the film ‘Priya’ (1978), a movie he also directed, thereby making a resounding statement against prevailing heroism norms. Thampi expressed the belief that M.T Vasudevan Nair deserves international acclaim for his contributions.

Chalachithra Academy Chairman Ranjith, secretary C Ajoy, photographer and curator of the exhibition, R. Gopalakrishnan, Bose Krishnamachaari, KSFDC Managing Director Abdul Malik, Festival Special curator Golda Sellam, Madhu’s daughter Uma J Nair among others were present.
